Blog missing after changing its directory name

I wanted to change my blog from https://sandravanl.com/blog to https://sandravanl.com/news. I carefully read through Moving WordPress On Your Existing Server .

I created a new folder (called ‘News’), where I want to move WordPress.
I changed the WordPress address (URI) and Site address (URL) to the new folder name.
I moved all of the files from the ‘blog’ directory to the ‘news’ directory.
In the next step I should access the wp-admin page, which should now be located in https://sandravanl.com/news/wp-admin or https://sandravanl.com/news/wp-login.php. Neither of which works. There’s only a white screen.

Where have I gone wrong and what can I do to fix this?
