I have a page as my static home. I used the option of creating a page for all my blogs and added that to the page menu. While in edit mode I can preview this page but when I go to the menu, whether I’m logged in or out, one different devices and browsers, I cannot get the blog page menu option to open, nothing happens. There’s no hand icon when you hover over it like with other pages. What do I do to give visitors access to the blog posts since I have pages set as the default?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I’m not sure what you’re expecting. Your blog listing page is /blog-posts/, linked from the menu as “Blog Posts and Updates”. It’d be unusual for individual blog posts be listed as submenu items, if that’s what you are expecting. If you want individual blog posts accessible from the menu, you’d either have to add them manually, find a plugin that’ll do that automatically, or custom code a solution.

You didn’t ask for any opinions, but I appreciate the site’s cause and will offer my opinion anyway ?? Your menu scheme is too intimidating. It’d be difficult for visitors to find articles they’re interested in. It’d be better IMO to categorize pages and posts, then have the menu items be categories which link to listing pages for everything in that category. Pages by default don’t have categories, but that can easily be changed with a bit of custom code. Do as you think best, but that’s my suggestion.

Ok, friend fixed it and yes it is quite easy to create a menu button for blog posts when your site is primarily pages. It wasn’t working due to a server issue. You easily google “how to add a posts menu to WP” and the same instructions I followed are mentioned over and over.
