  • I’m not a trekkie, but I actually found myself reading all the comments for the William Shatner interview. That’s an easy-to-follow professional-looking design you have. However, the size is a little large for 800×600 displays and a little small for 1024×768+ displays. In the future, you might want to consider a fluid layout.

You might have some issues on the validation. Dont know if thats important to you.

    hey, thanks for the comments.
the problem i have with a fluid layout is that i find it difficult with all the ‘trek-related’ images that need to be on the pages – a fixed layout tends to suit more graphics i find.
vaildation is important but some of the errors seem to come from the wordpress code – last time i checked wordpress wasn’t putting in some closing

    tags.
also i dont think its reading the doc type properly because the header of each page is a php include.

I’ve never had a problem with wordpress not looking after it’s own code – it’s always been me getting things wrong.

the problem for me seems to be the list category function not closing the li tag.

You’re kidding right.? The code bears no relation to the default at all.

Hi, site looks nice. The extended copyright notice says powered by movable type.

okay, i figured out the validation problems. i had already put

tags in my code to contain the category lists, thinking that this function would just insert the

      • tags. but the function puts the

        tags in as well.
better make sure i change the extended copyright notice too.
im also now investigating ways of going to a fluid layout, by trying to find some decent sites that accomplish this well with lots of images and sections on each page.
