Blog login just spins

    I installed a copy of a live WP on my localhost. I’m using XAMPP.
    I can get into the admin area but when I try to log into the blog area WP just spins and spins and goes nowhere. If I put the wrong user/pass combo it behaves correctly and takes me to the login error page, but when i put in the correct info WP just spins and spins and never logs me in.

    Any ideas?’
