I have a landscape format featured image on a blog post, but the image shows cropped on the blog page.

How do I make sure the image is the full length of the blog post excerpt and showing in full?

It might be a simple setting solution since the image is ‘clickable’ and displays in full when you click on it.

    Any help is much appreciated.

Featured images utilize a specific sized image. That size includes cropping/not cropping behavior in its definition. This is all normally determined by the theme you use. You appear to be using a child theme of “Porto”, so you could edit or override the related theme template or featured image function to utilize a different size that’s not cropped. Or even add a new uncropped size (which would only apply to subsequently uploaded images) and use that.

If you require more specific advice, I recommend asking through your theme’s dedicated support channel as we’re unable to help with commercial theme specifics in these forums.

Thanks for your reply. The theme is setup correctly since I have two websites with exactly the same setup and one shows correctly ([ redundant link removed ]) and the other hasn’t. There was an issue with some conflict.

I deleted the old post and wrote a new post from scratch and it did the trick. Alot of work but it works fine now within the single post and also on the blog summary page.

Thank you for your reply anyway.
