Blog feature image input field not shown after update

    Possible bug: After the 22.02.2022 update, the feature image field doesn’t appear on the blog entry page. After going through all my plug-ins I found that Yoast was causing the issue. Using a staging site where I hadn’t yet updated Yoast I confirmed that the issue appears only after the update.

    Hello Vanhaeus,

    I am sorry to hear that your featured image field is missing. I could not reproduce this with WordPress 5.9.1 and Yoast SEO 18.2. With all plugins disabled except Yoast SEO and using a default WordPress theme such as Twenty Twenty, does the issue persist?

    When using the 2017 theme with all other plugins turned off I continue to have the issue.

    Previously entered featured images still show in the preview, it’s only the input field on the edit page that disappears when Yoast is activated.

    * For me I can work around this issue, I just wanted to share in case someone else was experiencing the same.

    Would it be possible for you to attach a screenshot (using a site such as snipboard.io or imgur.com) so that we can understand exactly what the issue is?

    Since we’re unable to reproduce the issue on our end with a default WP theme and only the Yoast SEO plugin, we’re having a hard time understanding exactly what the issue is.

    If you could also open your browser’s console where the issue occurs and check for any JS errors in red and attach it in your screenshot, that would be helpful as well.
