Blog entry/edit and Issues with Ultimate Member

  • Hello,

    just a little help with Ultimate Member, I have a blog page setup and when a logon that does not have ADMIN rights say Author or Contributor logs on to the site, 1. The WordPress menu/sidebar is not displayed and the EDIT on a blog enty just flips to the home page.

    I have isolated it down to this plugin by disabling all others

    Would it be best to use wordpress as opposed to UM plugin?

    Learning curve and a little impatience ?? I have found what was causing part of my issue in Ultimate Member/User Roles.

    Can access wp-admin?
    Force hiding adminbar in frontend?

    now it seems to work however I still have issues with viewing the admin-bar to edit a post, it should allow this on the page ? when I select the ‘EDIT’ on the blog entry istelf or the WordPress top bar/toolbar it jumps to the home page?
