I am using Jennifer theme. My site is hannahploegstra.com

I had my blog posting to a page on my site and everything was working fine. When I would click on the top nav (called “Encouragement”) for that page/blog it brought up the blog like I wanted it to.

The trouble started when I added two sub pages to a different page (not the blog page). Ever since I did that, the blog is only accessible when I clicked on the title of the site. The actual page that is designated for my blog shows the title for the page that is supposed to be hidden from view for a posts page.

I have deleted the two sub pages that caused the trouble, and emptied them out of the trash, so they are GONE. But the blog still is only accessible when clicking on the site title.

I also went in and made sure the Reader says to let the posts load onto the front page (not a static front page).

I also tried (just to see what would happen) making another page be a static front page and having the “Encouragement” page be the posts page, and that worked. When I did that, the “Encouragement” top nav button brought up the blog. But I don’t want the static front page, I want the blog to be the front page.

I’m very new to this, so the question that keeps coming to my head is why is the site title acting like my front page/blog/posts page? I feel like if I could find that out I might answer the question…maybe….?

    Thanks!
