Blog Disappeared after Backup

  • I backed up my blog using the wordpress backup. After the backup was complete, i downloaded the backup files to my computer, then I logged out. I have tried to log back into my blog but the only thing that comes up when I login from Yahoo is the WordPress Welcome/Install Page. When I try to access the blog from the browser, it does not come up.

    I am not a web designer and don’t understand how to read the files. Can you help me?

  • I have the same issue. I called in to the Yahoo Small Business support and they told me that they were having problems with the server where my sql database was. It would be good for you to contact them so that they fix this issue fast. I was hopping that they would have fixed this issue by now; it’s been over 24 hours already…

    Thanks cipote, because of your response, I called Yahoo again. It seems as though they received so many calls that they dug further into the matter and have come to the conclusion that there is a server wide outage. Said their engineers are working on it but no estimate of how long it will take to fix.
