Blog Archive “No Index”

    Google Search Console is showing the following for our Blog archive:

    “No: ‘noindex’ detected in ‘robots’ meta tag”

    Is this b/c we have not content yet? If so, would you suggest that I remove the blog archive from the sitemap?

    Hi @sterndesign ,

    I’ve just checked your blog and the meta robots doesn’t have ‘noindex’. This is the default value, meaning that the page should be indexed. If Google says “No ‘noindex'”, then it’s fine.

    Thanks for the reply. To be clear, it says:

    ‘noindex’ detected in ‘robots’ meta tag. Meaning that it’s set to No Index.

    I’m curious where you see the meta robots info? Is that in the page source?

    Yes, I view your page source and see robots meta tag doesn’t have “noindex”.
