Blog and Website Installation

  • Here’s the scenario:

    I’m going to be purchasing a wordpress theme (https://themeforest.net/item/revusion-flat-corporate-wordpress-theme/5192269) for a new company website and blog. I want to get the blog launched first on a sub domain (blog.company.com) while keeping the old site up. i’ll be building the new company website on the same theme offline which will be launched a few months later.

    Is this possible and how would i do it? I don’t want to have two wordpress installations, if possible.

    Other advice/input for this situation is appreciated.

  • Go to your website hosting, get the ftp information, get file zilla, upload the theme to blog.company.com ‘s folder in the host. But before you do all this you must install wordpress on your subdomain….

    I think i was misleading with what im hoping to accomplish, I understand how to put wordpress on a subdomain….

    when the new site is ready to be launched (company.com) I want the blog (blog.company.com) to be accessible from the same WP theme
