Hi there, it has been a while since I last was working with blog posts, so please bear with me, if I’m wrong.

When I create a new post, I have to add a paragraph block to add content, I don’t rember it that way. It was also possible to ad an image to the post without adding an image block.

Why isn’t the block post layout on the blog page not fixed anymore, as I remember it was before?

What if I want to allow users to submit posts?

    Thanks

    Hi @carsten-lund,

The Gutenberg Block editor was introduced on 2018. Previously, the classic editor allowed you do the features you mentioned.

The Block Editor, is the current version of the editor used, which adds more features and in general easier to use.

You can revert the the classic editor by adding a plugin called Classic Editor, however GenerateBlocks won’t work there if you do so.

I don’t believe there was ever a fixed blog post layout for WordPress. It might be that you had a third party plugin for this?

As for allowing users to submit posts, you’ll need a third party plugin for this.
