One issue with this plugin especially with new domains. It blocks indexing and google seems to ignore the page for weeks or months before it recrawls again. Is it possible to have the option to decide whether no-index is added.

    Hi @coyotech ,

Thank you for contacting us. I hope you are doing well.

Yes, you are correct. Password-protected content blocks Google indexing. As we have mentioned in our plugin’s FAQ section: “Password-protected content is not visible to search engines like Google. The plugin prevents search engines from indexing protected content, ensuring it remains private and accessible only to those with the password.”

Unfortunately, due to security issues, we cannot add this option to the plugin.

It feels like what happens if you add this on a new site. It takes forever for google to recrawl the website if you leave it on long enough. Google seems to cache the page and refuses to clear it.

I have cleared all caches, added sitemap but google absolutely refuses to index the website at all.
I think working on a new site and new domain for a month with on is not a good idea.

    Hi @coyotech,

I hope you are doing well.

Currently, it’s not possible with Password protected plugin because it blocks Google indexing on protected pages.

However, I have forwarded your query to our business analyst. They will check the possibilities and consider adding this feature in a future sprint.

    Thanks & Regards,
