• The plugin worked for a few days. Then I’m getting complaints from various readers (I don’t require registration to read the blog), that they are blocked.

Sure enough Spam Blocker is blocking all readers, not just spammers.

Deactivating the plugin does not fix the problem. I’m not sure if it is a cookie stored on the person’s machine that incorrectly flags a valid person as a spammer or not.

This is a serious bug that needs to be addressed.

The plugin works only if it is activated. When you deactivate it, nobody can be blocked. The cookies, on the contrary, mark only those visitors whose IP addresses are not on the black list.

It is possible that people who are getting blocked have the same IP addresses as currently blocked spammers.

    What is your blog URL?

    Good day:

It was blocking even when deactivated.

The visitors being blocked included myself, and people from around the world.

    Thank you.

I cannot believe that, it is just not possible. If the plugin is deactivated, it’s code cannot be executed. Do you use any caching plugin? It is possible that it could cause the problem.

When I visited your website, everything seemed to be OK. Was the plugin active?

    Good day.

It is possible, I’ve user complaints along with seeing it myself.

I removed the plugin completely as this was the second time the plugin caused serious problems with the entire site.

I fixed the problem by switching the site url to www from non www; and the other time from www to non www.

    Thank you.
