    Hi there,

As you can see from the link I have a product table and a product block on this page.

My query relates to the product block at the bottom.

This block is called “Products By Category” and I have selected the pizza category. However I cannot edit the products the way I would like as it automatically orders them in the most recent products first with no additional options.

This is the same for the block called “all products” but it gives the user the option to sort via different options which all look poor.

Is there any display options I am missing? I have tried using the appearance + customise option but it only relates to the shop page.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @mmk175,

    Thank you for reaching out!

You can use the “Order By” feature in the block’s settings. Are you able to find it? :?)

@babylon1999 Oh wow. Once again I look like an idiot.

Thank you so much for this. I had to invest in things like product tables because these never looked good for me in the past ever.

    This is great. Thanks again.

@babylon1999 Do you know by any chance how I can add in a filter to the following page?

I want to filter by category but the only options i can see in the blocks section relate to stock, price, attribute, rating and active filters.

Any help here would be great.

Unfortunately, WooCommerce Blocks does not have a Filter by Category block yet. That said, this featured had been requested both within this forum and via the GitHub repo:

I forwarded this request to the corresponding teams so that they are aware of this. In addition, you could also submit this feature request at one of the following two locations:

Both locations allow others to pitch in ideas and to upvote the request. This helps us to prioritize certain features.

Back to your question, while there is no Filter by Category block, you could enable your buyers to see products by category by adjusting the Products by Category template. You can achieve that with the following steps:

    • Go to WP Admin ? Apperance ? Editor ? Templates ? Products by Category.
    • Open the list view to see the individual blocks of this template.
    • Above the Products (Beta) block, add the Columns block.
    • Move the Products (Beta) block to the right column and add the Product Categories List block to the left column.
    • Save the template and open one of your product categories in the frontend.

The following screenshots show how to do that in the editor as well as the result in the frontend.

Please note that this approach will cause a page reload. If you use this approach in combination with the other filters, such as the Filter by Price, Filter by Stock or Filter by Rating blocks, the selected filter will be reset due to the page reload. I understand that this is not ideal, but it would be a temporary approach. I hope this helps.
