Blockquotes overlap sidebars on blog feed

I have a primary side bar and content side bar enabled. I use blockquotes in posts using the class=”pull alignleft” and class=”pull alignright”
Everything is fine on single-posts with full-width enabled. But on the blog feed page, the blockquote will extend into the content side bar on the right when pulling to the right, as well as under the primary side bar when pulling to the left.
However, if I reduce the width of the browser window to the width of the site, the blockquotes will respond and align nicely within the post on the blog feed page.
I can duplicate the same effect in Appearance > Customize – the blockquotes are aligned within the post but once I collapse the customize menu on the left, the blockquotes will overlap in both directions.
