    Plugin v 2.8.8
    WP v 3.7.1

Great plugin. I’ve used it in the past for Pages without issues, but now I’m attempting to use it on a site that specifically blocks Posts – and am running into an issue.

I successfully am able to block the individual posts, my issue is that it still shows the entry’s “intro” text snippet on the main blog page…

I can disable this by checking the “auto excerpt” field in WP-Members Options (very bottom) and leaving the corresponding “number of words in excerpt” field blank (which I assume makes it “0”)… the problem is that doing this this creates the text “(more…)” in place of the intro snippet, which looks ugly and is not even clickable if you’re registered/log in.

I’ve read the documentation, FAQ, and scoured the forum – is there a simple way to completely remove this “(more…)” text? I looked in the post.php file but didn’t see anything.

    Thanks!

I should mention that it would be even better if there’s a way to completely block the blog to non-registered/logged in members… so they can’t view the blog titles, etc. this would also eliminate the need to manipulate the php files – even better!

If you are using the auto excerpt function, the ‘more’ text that is placed in there is the default “read more” link used by WordPress. You can modify this with the the_content_more_link filter.

Once the excerpt is created, the excerpt can also be filtered with wpmem_auto_excerpt, but it would be harder to change the ‘read more’ text after the fact.
