• Hello,

We recently started using WordFence so im not too knowledgeable on this plugin. But I couldn’t find any reference or support information on the issue that im encountering.

We noticed that while in Learning Mode, WordFence will whitelist specific urls to make edits. After turning off Learning Mode, we lose the ability to update/publish pages. Learning mode seems to only whitelist specific pages.

Im not sure why WordFence is preventing us from updating/publishing, but I tested this with different permission levels and we all have the same issue.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi @itaka448, thanks for your detailed post,

If Learning Mode doesn’t seem to be allowlisting everything you need, you can identify the cause by looking at the records that match the timestamp(s) when you were blocked in your Live Traffic page. Simply try recreating the issue so you have a recent block near the top. When clicking any block line (or “eye” icon) to expand it, it will state the reason for the block in red text. Sometimes you’ll see an “ADD PARAM TO FIREWALL ALLOWLIST” button here which you can click to allow these types of request in future.

Let us know if there’s anything that doesn’t seem to point to a settings change, or you’re unable to allowlist the action from there.

    Thanks,
    Peter.

    Thank you for your help.
I definitely found the issue popping up, but i was able to add a param to prevent future blocking.

I actually did further testing, and its only allowing the one page i was working on to process. Adding a parameter only makes an exception for that one page.

Is there something we can do to apply the effects to a broad range of pages.

I see 2 common reasons for blocks and il provide some screenshots.
