blocking comments

  • I have unticked the box “allow comments” and deleted all recent comments – including several that are spam – but when I visit my site these comments still appear. Is there something I’m missing here ?

  • Did you turn off comments from the settings panel?

    If so you will need to go and disable comments for all you previous posts and pages, as comments will not have been turned of for these.

    I think there’s a plugin that can do this for you though. Give it a Google.

    I turned off comments from the settings page, but am still receiving email message asking me to moderate new ones.
