I’ve been using Wordfence for several years and have in the past been able to set this up but can’t seem to find the right screen to do it now (after you reorganised all the screens!)

I want to block ALL IPs from access the login page (except for my own IP which is already whitelisted).

I know how to whitelist my IP, but I can’t find where to ban all IPs from the login page. Could you please point me in the right direction? TIA

It seems to me Wordfence is all over the place. I have the exact opposite problem, no one can register on our site, no even me, the admin, sometimes. I will be following this thread to see if a solution to your problem can be applied to mine.

    Hi @stanlight,

There isn’t an option to do this because there are many people that don’t understand that their public IP address is dynamic and many people will accidentally lock themselves out when their IP address changes if they used such an option. You can find all of the brute force login protection rules in the Brute Force Protection section on the All Options page. All options are described here:

    https://www.wordfence.com/help/firewall/brute-force/

We recommend that you only whitelist your IP address if you have a static IP address – most people don’t. You can read more about that here:

    https://www.wordfence.com/help/firewall/options/#advanced-options

@chapteradmin as you have a different problem and because of forum rules please create your own topic and we will be able to help you.

    Thank you.

There used to be an option to do this. Are you saying WF has removed that feature?

Well, I do have a static IP so HOW do I whitelist my IP in WF while banning all others?

    Hi @stanlight

Wordfence hasn’t had an option to block all IP addresses from the login page so you may be thinking about a different plugin.

You can whitelist your IP address in the Advanced Firewall Options section on the All Options page using the option Whitelisted IP addresses that bypass all rules.

As pointed out before, you cannot ban all IP addresses in Wordfence from either the login page or the XML-RPC service. If you want to prevent brute force login attacks then please use the recommended Brute Force Portection settings below:

    https://www.wordfence.com/help/firewall/brute-force/

    Thank you.
