blocking access to calendar

Hi there – please can someone tell me if I can remove the link from the calendars. I have a calendar of events et up – but when someone views this they can click on the event to get further information – is there a way to stop this please and also can the events show the times that I set? I notice also that all events are now listed in my ‘links’ list – don’t really need them there – can they be unlinked? I simply just want a calendar showing our events.
