I have to turn off avast in order to login to admin my site. When I do, I can’t edit pages. I contacted my site’s host because I couldn’t even disable plugins and they are able to make any changes without any trouble. Sometimes I can get a plugin to disable or update but many times there is a long working delay and the screen changes to “This page isn’t working, didn’t send any data”. I’ve cleared the cache several times. It appears like I can’t reach the host server, but I have pinged it and checked the trace route. I am at a complete loss for finding where the corruption is.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

This sounds like a problem with avast. You might want to check with them. But according to https://sitecheck.sucuri.net/results/idealexercise.org, your site has been blacklisted by McAfee, so you may want to check with them to see why they’re blacklisting it.

Thanks for the advice. I submitted a false positive with avast and everything seems to be moving at regular speed with my edits now. I also found a way, on blog.sucuri.net to reach McAfee to review their blacklisting. They are not easy to get in touch with. It appears they find blog sites to be threatening.

@ewilley It looks like there is indeed a security issue with your website and there is phishing content in the directory:

    ./gg/Arch/Archive

    VirusTotal listing

You will want to cleanup your website and secure it or else the blacklistings will just come back and become even harder to remove. There are paid services that can handle this process for you, like the website sucuri.net that you mentioned.

Thanks for that help. I did find fake folder and some others in hidden files.
