• Plugin works great. And the developer is very proactive. Just be aware that some IP forwarding at your host can cause issues. I had a smooth install and several weeks of very helpful notifications of IPs (mostly from Russia and China) being blocked. But then suddenly, all traffic was blocked to my site and the notifications listed the server IP I listed in my DNS as the blocked IP. It took some digging, but it turned out my web host recently changed the server IP for my websites and forwarded traffic from my DNS pointing to my old server IP to my new server IP – this was all seamless, but the access logs showed all remote IPs as being the old server IP. All I had to do was change the DNS to point directly to the new server IP. I thought at first this was an issue with the plugin, but it was not. Being able to white list an IP would be helpful to avoid this, but my situation was unusual and the plugin author was very proactive helping point me in the right direction.
UPDATE – So happy I have had this in place for 6+ months – frequency of attacks on my sites have increased and I now get notifications of > 10 attacks per week. Zero issues with this plugin.

Thanks – wish I had seen this before – I appreciate your bringing my attention to it. I also use Cloudflare. Clearly you are on top of this stuff – I was not aware of all the variables in hosting and CDN set-up that need to be accounted for. I will review my set-up at my host (site-ground) and with cloudflare and then try your plugin on a test domain to see how I can set it up in production. I owe you an updated review after that.

Solution was a simple DNS change. Issue was not CDN/cloudflare, but from from my host changing my server IP and then forwarding the traffic from my DNS pointed to the old IP to the new IP. This caused the logs to list the old server IP as the remote IPs on all requests. Once I changed the DNS to point directly to the new server IP, the logs properly listed the new IP. I updated my review to properly reflect the utility of your plugin and your proactive response.
