Hi – I’m using (and liking) this theme, but having trouble with Block Visibility when applied to BS Tabs.

I have created a set of tabs, but I only want specific tabs to appear based on a field in GDDiretory. I know the rule works as I use it to display (or not) other data on the page, however, it doesn’t appear to work for the BS Tabs.

Is Block Visibility supposed to work for tabs? It is an available option in the tab setting.

Further testing and I have worked out that the rule is being respected, but not by removing the tab itself, only the content contained in the tab.

Is this the expected behaviour? I note that when using visibility on menu items it controls the display of the menu item itself, which is really useful.

    Any help is appriciated.

Hi @mjwareha, I asked to the developers to follow up. We will get back to you ASAP.

    Thanks for your patience

    Hi @mhwareha,

Tab action link issue with Visibility Conditions has been fixed. It will be available in next update of BlockStrap Page Builder Blocks plugin. Meantime you can try this patch https://github.com/AyeCode/blockstrap-page-builder-blocks/pull/65/files

    Thanks,

Hi @stiofansisland, I’ve just tried the patch, and it does remove the contents of the tab based on visibility conditions, however, I was hoping to remove the tab altogether. This would enable dynamic tabs, removing irrelevant ones based on visibility settings.

    Hope that makes sense.

It should remove the tab also, you may have to try editing and re-saving the tabs to make it work, please let me know.

    Thanks,

Hi – I’ve been testing this with the patch, and (assuming I have patched my installation correctly – which is a big assumption – I downloaded the changed GitHub files and applied them to my installation), I can’t get the visibility to remove the tab itself. At least not consistently. It has worked on occasions, but I can’t determine why it works when it does and doesn’t work when it doesn’t! Sorry I can’t be more help.

Maybe try removing the tabs and re-adding them again? If you have already tried that please open a support ticket on our site and include in the subject “FAO Stiofan” and i can assist further: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/

    Thanks,

    Stiofan
