Hi there, is it possible to put another block like a Heading a Youtube block, or a music player block, on top of a Grid block, like a Hero block?

If not, would it possible to add a Y position to a block, like working with layers with images?

    Thanks!

    Hi @carsten-lund,

To have an idea of what you’re trying to do, do you have an example or a sketch of the look you’re trying to achieve?

Hi there, thanks for your reply, my goal is something like this, grid of images in the background and a Heading and link on top.

    Thanks

    Yes, this is possible.

Place a Grid Block and a Headline Block inside one Container Block.

You can then achieve this by giving the Headline Block a negative top margin, provided that it’s under the Grid Block.

Or, you can use custom CSS. Specifically, make the Headline Block’s position absolute. And set the proper top and left values.

That’s good news, I will try that, about the functionality of showing album information when clicking the image, is this something I can achieve with the GB image block?

Any GP image slider in the pipeline?

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

those images have a link to a single post.
Is that a a requirement for your site ?

Carousels / Sliders will be a future Pro feature.

Yes, a customer asked if it was possible to display metadata like year, artist and title of albums.

Great with the future slider feature!

    Thanks

For an exact copy of that site, would require Custom Development as its using Javascript to size and arrange the grid.

However, if each album is its own single post, then you can use the GB Query Loop Block to create a grid of posts with the background featured image and the post meta overlay.
