Block IPs based on malicious activity?

Is it possible to block IPs based on malicious activity other than login attempts (within a certain time period)? I’m thinking specifically of the “probing for vulnerable code” activity. It would be great to block/lockout IPs who trigger that activity a certain amount of times within a certain time frame, just like with the login attempts.

I found this old thread from about a year ago mentioning the same so was curious if this had been implemented yet, either in the free or pro version.
