I am looking for someone who has had this same issue with a Managed WP with Go Daddy and has a solution

Existing Pages & Posts will not update in the Block Editor

    Here is what I did:

Disabled Plugins & reactivated one by one
Disabled Theme and replaced with a WP Theme
    WP was reinstalled
Flushed cache several times (both WP & browser cache)
Tried 3 different browsers, nothing changed including using incognito mode in Chrome
    Re-set the PermaLinks 2xs

    Ran the Site Health Checker
The site is not set up to output debug information
    The Rest API is available
    WP debug is disabled

We have a staging site and this is our temporary work around until a solution is found. Synched the Staging Site to Live after making edits to a page No issues working in the Staging Site at all. (Staging site is on a different server)

Go Daddy Suggestions: Use Staging Site and wait for another WordPress update or Use Classic Editor plugin exclusively that could be used with a page builder. (I installed the CE and tried to use it in conjunction with block editor, no luck.)

    Further Page Testing:

I copied the contents of an existing page in the block editor; pasted the data into a new page. The page would not update.

If I create a brand new page with new text content only, I can save it. Draft page allows you to save the text. It will not allow you to change the color of the text or add in an image (update fails)
Cannot save images in block editor (update fails)

Copied and pasted text from an existing page into notepad and then pasted back into editor and was able to save the draft (text only)

If anyone has any suggestions or solutions, I would really appreciate it.
I really like the block editor. I built a client’s site using the block editor.

    Thanks

  • Please contact GoDaddy support. This sounds like hosting issue which is very common for GoDaddy.

    Good luck!

I am posting a follow up here to my original post.
First, this was not a WordPress issue.
I had someone test the site on a different server and everything worked fine after changing the permalink setting to “Plain.”
Yesterday, I tried to edit a post or page by adding in an image; I got the same result “Updating Failed” after changing the permalink setting.
This morning, I ran the Site Health Checker in the Dashboard and there were other errors in the firewall regarding ip address. I fixed this.
Right now, I can now update the posts & pages, as well as add new content.
