Unfortunately I can’t give the address to the page because it’s set as private. But we’ve created a page using the WP default block editor. There are two sections we want to hide from desktop and two we want to hide from mobile. We’ve got to those blocks and clicked Advanced and set the two that should SHOW on mobile to HIDE on desktop and the two that should SHOW on desktop to HIDE on mobile. We saved the page, cleared cache etc. But no matter what we do or how we view the page, all of the sections are visible on all devices.

It seemed like this used to work fine. But we updated to WP 6.6.1 and it doesn’t work. Not sure if it’s related to this version of WP.

Is anyone else having this issue?

Did you try using a default theme with all plugins deactivated?

No. Sadly WP doesn’t allow you to have different themes for different pages. So we are stuck with the theme we have. If we switch themes the entire site will break. As this is a semi-governmental website we have very tight restrictions on what we can do. Do those toggles rely upon the theme to be written a certain way? Seems kind of dumb. That should be independent of the theme functions.

see if this plugin might help manage block visibility: https://blockvisibilitywp.com/

also, if you have a staging environment – test in that space with all plugins deactivated

you could also test using troubleshooting mode with the Health Check plugin activated
