Block editor : Hide ‘core/columns’ block in inserter
-
I have disabled most of the built-in core blocks and used the ‘allowed_block_types_all’ hook to keep the blocks that I want. I have several custom WP blocks (created with ACF Pro) and custom contextual patterns, but when I have ‘core/columns’ disabled, the ‘Patterns’ tab disappears (screenshot of the pattern tab : https://snipboard.io/EMfmD7.jpg).
Once I enable/ or add ‘core/columns’ to the ‘allowed_block_types_all’ hook, the ‘Patterns’ tab is there again, so I assume I will need to enable this block for contextual patterns to work. Is there a way to hide the ‘core/columns’ block in the inserter (screenshot: https://snipboard.io/r3MvkQ.jpg)?
Note: Disabling the block under ‘Visible blocks’ (Preferences > Blocks) hides the block in the inserter, but the ‘Patterns’ tab is missing again.
Thanks!
