• I’ve read of other cases of similar behavior happening, so apparently I am not the only one having this problem. There is even an entry in the WPGlobus FAQ, but following those instructions didn’t help in my case.

    When testing different setups, I found the problem only appearing if working on WordPress installs which are not in the root but in a subdirectory of the domain. So working on a site with base_url https://example.com/dir/ would not work, while the installation with the home_url https://example.com/ on the same hosting account with the same settings was not affected.

    In my tests I was able to reproduce the behaviour with a fresh WordPress install using TwentyTwenty theme active and only WPGlobus added and activated as plugin.
