Block does not render when used with latest-posts

  • If I create a post with a photonic block, and then try to display it on a page with a latest-post block, it renders onto the page as just comments. If I make a shortcode block and put the same shortcode in there that the block editor shows me, it works fine.

    I believe this is a problem with the Latest Posts block, not with Photonic. It appears as though it cannot display dynamic blocks (i.e. blocks with server-side rendering). Photonic happens to be a dynamic block because most of the heavy lifting for generating the gallery is done by the back-end.

    I tried out a few other blocks, such as the “Taxonomy List” block from “Ultimate Add-ons for Gutenberg”, and it too doesn’t render with the Latest Posts block (which itself is a block with dynamic rendering).
