'Block comments from specific countries' and CN IPs

  • Hi,

    Out of curiosity, I checked all my (manually marked as Spam) declined comments and the MaxMind GeoIP Demo page claims the majority of IPs to be from China.

    I’ve set the BLACKLIST ISO CODES to ‘CN’ and the white list is empty.

    If I recall correctly, I haven’t had a ‘Country Check’ hit in a few months now, though CN has always been on the list.

    What might be the reason for those IPs not getting detected as coming from China?

    Just a short update: Today I had two comments trapped by the country check. It seems to work again. ??
