Block checkout showing “No payment methods available” or missing entirely.

The blocks checkout keeps saying, seemingly randomly, that there are “no payment methods available,” or the payment methods simply do not appear at all with no error message, so the user clicks “place order” and then it gives an error saying that they didn’t select a payment method. We are using the Stripe add on, WC Shipping & Tax, WC Shipping, and the the WC MailChimp plugins. Some users have managed to purchase just fine, but we are getting reports from people saying they’re not seeing any payment methods, and now we’ve gotten some screenshots which do in fact show the checkout page with nothing below the “Payment Options” heading. We’ve not been able to reliably replicate the issue because some users have gone back and suddenly they see the credit card fields, but the reports we’ve been able to follow up on have mostly come from iPhone users. We don’t know most of the customers personally so we’re not comfortable pestering them for details and screenshots but obviously we can’t be losing sales over buggy checkout, so we’ve switched to the uglier but more reliable classic checkout for now. If you can point me to anywhere in the logs that might show what went wrong I can look, but I haven’t been able to replicate the issue at all on my own devices, including an iPhone, so I have no idea why roughly 20% of users are not seeing the credit card fields. As far as I can tell the block-based cart works fine, so we’ve only switched the checkout page to the classic version and we’ll see if that works. My client is now wishing he’d gone with Shopify though, as he’s lost several sales.

This sounds super frustrating!
Are you using the WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway? If so, WooCommerce and Stripe have detailed logs that can offer insight into what’s going wrong. You can enable and check these logs under:
- WooCommerce → Settings → Payments → Stripe: Enable debug mode for Stripe if it’s not already on:
- WooCommerce → Status → Logs: Look for any Stripe-related errors.
I’d like to take a closer look at the sites current environment, can you please share a copy of the System Status Report? You can find this via?WooCommerce?→?Status. Select?
Get system report?and then?Copy for Support. Once you have this, please paste it here.Additionally, can you share any fatal errors logged under WooCommerce → Status → Logs so that we can take a closer look at these.
