Block /author/admin

    Hi

    Under the tab Hardening there is a setting to “Block access to the pages like /?author=n”.

    Is this supposed to block access to the page /author/admin ?

    It doesn’t in my case here. I sent the page to a screen capture service and it still shows so it has nothing to do with my IP being accepted or something like that.

    Hi!

    That blocks user enumeration. User enumeration is a method that hackers and scanners use to find out valid username (login). It will not block access to pages like /author/admin/.

    Ok, thanks, I can probably block it with robots.txt

    I love the simplicity with WP Cerber. Other security plugins can make a grown man cry.

    You should do that via .htaccess file by creating appropriate rewrite rules.
