This issue was fixed in an previous version. I checked your site and you are using an older 4.x version of the plugin. Please update to the current 12.7.1 version which will no longer create these entries. Updating should automatically remove the entries but in the rare case it doesn’t due to updating from such an old version, you are safe to delete them from the database after updating.

    Wrong.
    I use the premium version.
So how do i fix this issue?

If you do have the premium version and have an active subscription, please contact us by email at [email protected]. To give you a head start, you do have Yoast SEO Premium v4.9 version installed on your site and this is a very outdated version.

Per the forum guidelines, we can’t give support on premium products here.

i have to pay to stop you from bloating my database???

    Hi @alauer,

Your Premium version is several years old and no longer supported. The issue you describe has been fixed in a newer version of both the free and Premium version of our plugin.

If you still have an active subscription, you can update your Premium version to the most recent one.

If you do not have an active subscription, you have two options. You can either purchase one from our site and then update your outdated version to the most recent version. Or, you can continue with the free version of Yoast SEO, which is readily available from the www.remarpro.com repository, or directly via the plugin menu in the backend of your website.

In any case, your current issue can be resolved by updating to the most recent version.

    What functions do i lose?

We have a comparison between free and premium here to show you what premium features you would no longer get in the free version. Some of these features may not be available in your version.

In short, you would no longer have the redirect manager, ability to optimize for multiple keyphrases, social previews, and more.

How do i switch without losing data?

All data is stored in the database which allows you to switch without losing anything.

For the health and safety of your site, we recommend making a complete backup of your website. Learn more about the benefits of regular backups.

    1. Deactivate the premium version
    2. Install the free version
    3. Activate free version
    4. Uninstall premium version
