Blind User Here

Could someone please explain how to correct the following errors. I am a novice so please use simple terms (I would be honored to be called a novice. lol).

Making this harder for me is the fact that I am blind but I dont want that to stop me from getting it fixed.

Seriously though. This is really bothering me.

1. When trying to download a new more accessible them (Genesis Child – Blank slate) I get this message:
Download failed. Problem with the SSL CA cert (path? access rights?)

2. When downloading the latest wordpress I get this message:
