We have been happily using Blighty Explorer to manage small sets of files. Sometime recently however new subfolders created in our linked Dropbox account stopped appearing in in the folder display in our WordPress site. Older files and folders are still there, but not newly created folders.

We have tried reauthenticating the Dropbox connection through the plugin settings, to no avail.
Might this have to do with a WordPress update? I note that www.remarpro.com says that BE “has not been tested” with our version of WordPress.

Hi – thanks for your feedback and question.

The plugin is still working well on my development installation.

I can think of two possibilities that may be causing what you’re seeing:

    1. The plugin has a caching mechanism which maintains the folder structure from Dropbox for 60 seconds. If you displayed the page, added a subfolder and then refreshed the page within 60 seconds, you wouldn’t see the new subfolder. Do you see it now?

    2. Your Dropbox client may not be running, has been paused, or may have frozen. Is Dropbox syncing to the web, i.e. can you see your subfolder on Dropbox’s website?

Let me know what you find. I’m happy to research further if this doesn’t help.

    Thanks!

    Chris

    Hello–
Thanks for the response. We were in fact experiencing issues with syncing Dropbox between different machines. Not a Blighty issue, as it turned out.
