• After reading a ton of forum notes and not getting a positive solution,

am I looking at just trashing my troubled sites and

    starting over from scratch?

Someone suggested downloading/installing a fresh copy of WP. With no access to the Admin Panel, what are the correct steps if I do this via MyPhpAdmin through my cPanel host access?

    Please help,
    Thanks
    Vance

P.S. – Does anyone at WordPress know when the next Update is coming (presumably version 3.7.2) ??

Or can the forum moderator please dig in to WordPress management and let me know this.

I am counting on using the next Update in my cPanel utility called Softaculous as it forces a core-level update to WP and I am hoping that step will clear the crap out of my WP sites.

5 are broken, 2 work just fine. I can’t explain why updating to 3.71 broke 5 but left 2 OK.

    Thanks,
    Vance

We don’t have any info about updates. I would not rely on a update to fix an existing problem.

Have you looked at the server error logs to see what’s going on with the broken sites?

Ok, so, with both pieces of disappointing news (no update, no update will cure the ill),
then the only way out of this mess is to trash the files at my host and start over from scratch, rebuilding the 5 sites from ground zero.

I will work with my host support to see how to best clear out the sites and do complete rebuilds.

    What a horrible thought.

Well, I was hoping for some excellent and effective support from the forum, but as they say at the hammer pound at the summer fair, “No cigar!”

    Thanks anyway,
    Vance

I would not start over yet.

BTW, just noticed that you opened two earlier threads on this –

So this duplicate is closed – please use existing threads.
