• My site https://www.beyondbee.net is hosted with Bluehost. Earlier today I used the admin section but later I went back and it loaded blank, with no errors. It turns out Bluehost was doing maintenance, upgrading MySQL to 4.1 and PHP to 4.4.1. Why would this blank my admin and what can I do to correct it so I can administer my blog again?

If I log out, yes, I can see it. But if I’m logged in, I can’t see anything–write, themes, options, dashboard–nothing!

Forgive me for asking if you’ve already covered it, but you’ve deleted the wp-admin folder first, and uploaded the folder again?

    Yup

Try deleteing SK2 from plugins. The source that’s showing is SK2 style sheet, and it stops, perhaps that’s where the problem lies.

OK, deleted SK2. Now it looks like this:

Source on that page shows nothing but a bunch of js manipulations, calls to external scripts, no closing head tag, and noting after the closing style tag for the codesnip-container css….

And why is that wp-admin.htm? Mine loads from /wp-admin/index.php….

Looks the same. It’s loading a little CSS from codesnippet, and then more CSS, and stops, but the source you just posted is the same. I’d delete, each plugin, one by one, to see if one is conflicting, as that seems to be where the issue lies.

he simply saved the index.php source as htm. vs using pastebin.

vkaryl, I just did a “Save as” when I load wp-admin/. It’s just to let you see what it’s doing. When I go to wp-admin/, that is the source that I see. Just some scripts and stuff. That’s it.

    vkaryl

    (@vkaryl)

Ah, forgot about that possibility, sorry!

    geetarista

    (@geetarista)

Well, I just deleted all of them and it now works. So now I’ll go in one by one and see which one it is!

Sometimes that’s the only effective way to troubleshoot it….

And, of course, it was the last freaking plugin that I tried. It was the structured blogging plugin. It was working fine for a while, but it must have gotten screwed up with the php or sql upgrades. Thanks for your help everyone!

    Excellent.
Also note that it could be two crossing over each other.

No, I restored all the other plugins that I have and everything works fine.
