I have been having problems login to my site.

After entering my login detail I was getting not found 404 error. I tried fixing it by renaming my plugin folder as I had read this could be the issue. It didnt work, I then deleted my current them hoping it would revert to default theme incase it was my theme with fault but these action led me to getting a complete white blank site here https://wearewithyou.co.uk/

Its now much worse that even when I try to login all I get is a google page that reads “Oops! This link appears to be broken”

Please can you advise on what to do to get my website up and running again. Many thanks

  • Looks like you have either a plugin or PHP error in your theme. Try deactivating any plugins and set your theme to TwentyTen.

Thanks for your reply but how do I set my theme to Twentyten? I cant access the dashboard thru wp-login. I can only access the themes folder through cpanel of my webhost.

I have renamed the plugin folder to something else so I hope this has deactivated plugins

I can only access the themes folder through cpanel of my webhost.

Using that access rename your theme. That will force wp to open with the default theme.

I have renamed my theme but still no luck.

Using ftp or by signing into your hosted account delete the wp-includes and wp-admin folder. DO NOT delete the wp-content folder.

Download a fresh copy of wp. Unzip the wp-admin and wp-includes and upload them to the server.
