• Hello guys,
I’m trying to move my website from Aruba to Netsons.
    I followed these steps:
    – download all the files on my FTP
    – export the database using phpMyAdmin
    – buy the new host (keeping the same domaain name – https://www.techprincess.it)
    – change the db details (name, user, password, host) in wpconfig.php
    – upload all the files in the new FTP
    – import the database
    – in cPanel install WordPress by clicking on “Import previous installation”

All I changed from the old host is that the website was previously in a folder call https://www.techprincess.it and now it’s in the public_html folder.

After all these steps, I have a blank website and I can’t login to WordPress because it seems my previous user is not there.
    I’m really really desperate.

    Any suggestions?

  • Did you update your nameservers when you switched hosting? If not, give that a shot and see…

How can I do that? I’m kind of a newb.

The nameserver setting tells your browser where to locate your site. If you bought the DOMAIN at Company X, and you are HOSTING the site at Company Y you need to go to Company X (Aruba, I assume) and set the nameservers to whatever Company Y (Netsons) needs them set at.

    Ask Netsons what they need……

Nevermind – just read their page…You need to call them.

They have to set it for you.

Hope this helps! Good Luck with you new venture!

I will try to contact them on Monday.

Now I just re-uploaded the DB in MyPHPAdmin and got no errors (the first time I got a weird one). At least now I have the complete list of the users.
Too bad I can’t see the login page that was working until 30 minutes ago…
When I go to the page https://www.techprincess.it/wp-login, it opens a Netsons 404 page :S

I changed the WP DEBUG to True and obtain this:

Warning: include_once(/web/htdocs/www.techprincess.it/home/wp-content/plugins/wp-super-cache/wp-cache-phase1.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/accountname/public_html/wp-content/advanced-cache.php on line 14

Warning: include_once(): Failed opening '/web/htdocs/www.techprincess.it/home/wp-content/plugins/wp-super-cache/wp-cache-phase1.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/accountname/public_html/wp-content/advanced-cache.php on line 14

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '<<' (T_SL) in /home/accountname/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-missed-schedule/wp-missed-schedule.php on line 259

Can these errors cause the problem?

    Update

I temporally deleted WP Super Cache and WP Missed Scheduled and now I see the homepage but when I clic on posts, I get redirect to a Netsons 404 page.

I checked the database and use the admin tool for repair it and I got this:

[uzbzvhkt_MySQLTechPrincess.techprinc_postmeta] error: 13 when fixing table
[uzbzvhkt_MySQLTechPrincess.techprinc_postmeta] warning: Number of rows changed from 14193 to 28851
    [uzbzvhkt_MySQLTechPrincess.techprinc_postmeta] Error: Can’t create/write to file ‘/root/tmp/ST5pZtUh’ (Errcode: 13)

I don’t know how to fix this.

The good news is that now I can see the login page but can’t login with the admin user and password. I don’t get errors, it just recharges the same login page.
