    Hi –

I’m selling custom products. Is it possible to pass ID as a blank value instead of including a SKU?

I tried “Fill with static value” but its not saving if I don’t enter anything into the field.

    Thanks

    Hello @ griffingroupe,

Yes, that is correct. If there is no value we do not save items without value.
Why would you include an empty attribute in the feed?

now that Google Shopping is requiring GTIN (like UPC, etc) for branded products that have them, they require people selling house brands to pass “identifier_exists: no”. That is because there is no universal identifier. Instead, I am sending my SKU as a manufacturer’s part number (MPN). So when I am looking at the error report, I’m getting a warning from Google saying that identifiers exist even though I’m sending that as a negative. This could affect approval and ranking of products. It would be better to send a blank ID and have the MPN sending as my custom product in-house SKU.

Let me know if you have any questions

    Thanks

SO why should you send your SKU as MPN?

As I understand, you are telling google in the feed you do not have Unique identifiers even though you are sending a Unique identifier.

So two things to do. Just do not send a Unique identifier or set identifier exist to yes.

Actually, you should remove the MPN.
It is not required for you so I see no reason to add your SKU to an MPN field.
    Remove it and your good.
