Hi, I’m new here and new to all this in general, so please be gentle with me. I’ve installed WordPress and everything was going swimmingly. I logged in for the first time which was fine but noticed that I’d accidentally included index.php already in my URL, so the end of the address was /index.php/index.php. I figured I could get rid of this by deleting my tyable and reinstalling wordpress. Unfortunately I’m now getting a blank page for my blog, and, more worryingly, there’s a blank space where my template should be. When I go to ‘Template’ in my admin panel, there’s just nothing there.
In my database I have the files:
    wp_categories
    wp_comments
    wp_linkcategories
    wp_links
    wp_optiongroup_options
    wp_optiongroups
    wp_options
    wp_optiontypes
    wp_optionvalues
    wp_post2cat
    wp_posts
    wp_users
So there are 12 there in total but I remembered when I (probably stupidly) deleted the files from my database that there were 13. Is there something missing from that list? Does anyone have any ideas? As I say, I’m very new to this and jargon pretty much goes over my head so any layman-type help will be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks a million.

My suggestion would be to delete the database, recreate it, then start the WP install fresh. I’m assuming that you don’t have any content yet. If you do have content, then of course you aren’t going to toss everything out the window.
