• I took over managing a site from a previous dev, so I don’t know what was done at initial installation. What I do know now is that about every 2 days, a few files are updated magically and blank spaces show up before the opening php tags. So, when we go to login, we get this

    I manually delete the space, then a few days later, space is back. Has anyone had this issue? The WP version isn’t being updated, the plugins are not being updated. I”m at a loss.

  • I haven’t that behavior before. I would change the FTP login and see if it still happens.

    I’d also look at what plugins are installed to see if there are any that are setup to synchronize files with an external source.

    And while it won’t reveal the issue, you could also take the write permissions off the files.

    Permissions, that was a good answer or direction.
