• Hi

I’ve moved a internal wordpress site from one server to another, both have the same ip address, and the same directory structure, I’ve moved the php database keeping the same user and password.

I have also removed the wp-config file and created a new one, But for some reason as soon as i activate a theme that i heavily modified everything goes blank. I get a white screen in the front and back end of wordpress.

I can only think that its a different php and apache. I have noticed that error appears on the dashboard: ERROR: The themes directory is either empty or doesn’t exist. Please check your installation.

But i can see the theme? Whats going on?

  • Firstly: “both have the same ip address” sounds a bit strange, configuring this has to be a lot of work. Would suggest that you give each machine (and logical/virtual nachine) its own IP address, manually enter these into the “hosts” file etc.

Also suggest that you check your theme directory, is the case and spelling correct ? Are the permissions and owner correct ?

Yes both have the same ip address, however one is only “Live”.
