Blank Shop Page – Sometimes?

    I have an issue where SOMETIMES my shop page shows no products. It seems to work in an incognito window.

    I am using a multi-theme plugin, because I made a custom theme for the home page. This is my first ever wordpress site so I suspect I’ve screwed something up.

    The theme used on the shop page is “Storefront”, and when I live preview using that theme the shop page still shows as blank.

    I’ve tried deactivating all plugins except woocommerce, and turning them on one at a time. It seems like it starts working for a short time when I do this, but then I’ll check the page later and it is blank again. It’s hard to know if what I am doing has an impact because the issues seems to be intermittent.

    Also I’ve noticed that navigating to https://aftermathlab.com/product-category/cartridges/? then clicking on a shop link causes the shop page to work as expected. Hoping that helps someone troubleshoot this!

    Hi @kgorham05. If you activate the Storefront theme instead of the child theme, does the same thing happen?

    If you deactivate all plugins, does the Shop page load or does it eventually stop loading? You might find it easier to use a Staging site to do these tests.

    Hi @drwpcom -> I have switched the staging site (v2.aftermathlab.com/shop) to the storefront theme and I haven’t seen the shop go down.

    I made the child theme myself (first one), do you know what I might have done wrong?

    I think I just added my own nav and footer but didn’t want to change the main context of the site. Is there any code I could share that could help debug this?

    Hi @kgorham05. I’m not seeing any theme overrides that could be a factor here. I recommend checking for help in the Storefront forum. You may also want to refer to the guide for creating a child theme here.

    I’m going to go ahead and mark this thread resolved since the issue is not with the core WooCommerce plugin, which is the topic of this forum. If you have any other questions, please start a new thread.
