    Hi Team,

Not sure what core elements you have changed in your plugin but I cannot see any of the settings after the update. Will revert back to previous version to allow it to work as expected.

Definitely not a plugin conflict as it was working fine up to the latest release.

Luckily it doesn’t effect other parts of WP Admin and I can access everything without any issues. I will check the error log and report back.

Ok I have reverted back to v9.1.0 and the only issue I am facing now is the ‘Dashboard’, ‘Site Scans’ and ‘Settings’ pages not being visible. I have cheeked another site that hasn’t had the plugin updated and all these parts work fine on the same version.

Both of these sites use the exact setup, theme builder and plugins.

Not sure what your update has done but its effected the plugin somehow, or corrupt the database.

This is the only error log from today after the update:

I am also getting this in search console when checked in WP Admin on the ‘Setting’ tab. Will hold off on other sites until you figure out what is the cause.

Any support on here? I can see others with a reply six hours ago but mine has been ignored.

Will leave it until Monday and no reply I will remove and move to another security plugin. At least acknowledge my issue.

    Hey @poppydev

We are investigating this for sure. I’m still trying to come up with a way to replicate the problem, but yours is not the only report of it so far, so I am certain there’s a way for us to replicate a problem, ust not sure the exact steps, yet.

When it comes to fixing issues, the first step is to get the problem replicable in a separate environment. At this point, we have only a handful of reports, despite tens of thousands of downloads so far.

Hi @poppydev, we’re still investigating this issue, and we’re going to need your help so we can replicate this. Can you please provide your Site Health Info here so we can check?

Hi @poppydev, thank you for sending your Site Health Info!

We’re still trying to replicate this issue on our test environments, but we think this could be cache-related. Are the plugin pages still showing as blank when deactivating all other plugins and using a default WP theme? If so, please clear all sorts of caches (preferably in this manner:?server cache -> CDN cache (if you use it) -> plugin cache -> browser cache)and let us know if it does not work.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

    Hi chandelierrr,

Ok I have done what you said and flushed any cache plugins I have, or CDN’s in place and everything came back on the version I reverted back to. I will try and update again and see if what you suggest resolves it.

Oddly enough I did this before when I updated to the latest version. Nothing has changed since. I will report back with my results.

    Thanks

    Thread Starter poppydev

    (@poppydev)

Ok so I have updated to the latest version and cleared all caching plugins, CDN’s and only one page is now effected “Site Scans”.

Edit. I spoke to soon. As soon as I flush my CDN cache the pages I mentioned originally are now blank.

What I did see is they was loading very slow on some tabs. It was like the settings had a delay.

Looking at search console in WP Admin I get this error only on these options when chosen under your plugin:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading ‘settings’)
    at settings.js:1:60930
    at 7980 (settings.js:1:60939)

    at settings.js:1:62235

These are from your plugin – Example: at settings.js:1:60930 = https://www.ufindus.co.uk/wp-content/plugins/better-wp-security/dist/user-groups/settings.js

    Hi?@poppydev, I appreciate the updates!

So far, we have only been able to replicate this issue when updating a site that has the WPO Tweaks plugin installed, but clearing the browser cache resolved it.

For now, I’ve forwarded your findings and error details to our internal report so our developers can check, and I’ll surely get back to you when I get their feedback. We’ll also work on trying to replicate this in a test environment.

    Thank you.

    (@shanedelierrr)

Hi @poppydev, just to clarify, can you please confirm that you proceeded with a full conflict check with the latest version and cleared all caches, but the blank pages issue remained?

I have the same problem, tried using Health Check, while I’m on troubleshoot mode.

I was able to see the page – with all plugins activated, but when I switch back to regular mode, it doesn’t appear.

edit: It was a cache issue!

Feel free to open a new support topic if you require assistance with something else, and we’d be happy to assist.

    Thank you!
