Blank Screen? 5 Min Install Problem

  • I’m trying to install WP on a subdomain and am having the strangest problem: I created the DB, double checked the details in wp-config.php, etc, but when I go to wp-admin/install.php I just get a blank screen.

    This is an install on a subdomain so it is not a nameserver issue. I tried deleting and re-uploading all the WP files but am getting the same blank screen!

    Do you know what could be causing this? I’ve installed WP dozens of times and have never encountered this problem.

    It appears the problem was with WP 3.1, which I downloaded to install the latest WP version on the new site. When I deleted all the WP 3.1 files and installed a previous version of WP there was no issue. Strange!
