    Creating Stories works great. However, once its published the text disappears. I am using templates. I have the latest version of WordPress and have amp installed. What am I doing wrong? Or is this a glitch on Google’s end?

    @glamkaren When I test your URLs in the AMP test tool I am seeing the page cannot be reached or blocked by robots.txt.

    Could you confirm you have this setting is set to public in the Document panel? Could you switch it to public again and update the post?

    Do you have “Discourage search engines from indexing this site” option checked under WordPress Settings -> Reading?

    @glamkaren Thank you for sharing. I noticed you are using an older version of Yoast (v5.6.1). While it may not be the cause of this issue, it may help if you update to their latest version of the plugin since there has been improved integration and compatibility with Web Stories. Please follow up after you’ve updated.

    @glamkaren Thank you for providing this information. I am testing on my end what may be causing issues with your published stories. In the meantime, could please attempt the below troubleshooting method?

    Use the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin and enable its troubleshooting mode. This mode disables active plugins and switches to a default theme safely because it only affects the experience of the logged-in user.

    – Please enable the Web Stories plugin and let me know if the issue is present.
    – Enabling plugins and your theme one by one in this mode may help pinpoint if something else is involved.
    – Note you can disable troubleshooting mode from the plugins page.

    Hi – Doing the steps above has made it work. Yay! I can see all the stories now and everything loads in preview and in another tab (Story URL). As I went through each plug-in one by one and then checking my Stories, I see that when enabling AMP makes Stories NOT work again. Does that mean I can’t use AMP or is it a problem on AMP’s end?

    @glamkaren Thanks for the update! You cannot use both this plugin as well as the MakeStories plugin to create stories because both use /web-stories for their URLs.

    ok – I misunderstood when reading your “Read First” pinned post saying, “Web Stories are powered by AMP. To enable AMP for the rest of your WordPress site consider using the official AMP plugin.” I thought I needed AMP so I got it, but clearly, it doesn’t work with Stories. Thanks!

    Note that MakeStories is a different story editor out there separate from Web Stories, and AMPforWP is separate from the official AMP plugin.

    While there are performance benefits when enabling the official AMP plugin for the rest of your WordPress site, the plugin is not required to use Web Stories. Web Stories already relies on the underlying AMP format. Hopefully, this helps!
