  • Can you replicate the issue with Twenty Twelve theme with all plugins turned off?

I’m not as technically minded as it might appear!

If it’s not a stupid question, will I lose all the settings if I change theme and disable plug-ins?

    Thanks in advance

It’s not a stupid question. ?? The answer is that you shouldn’t lose anything if you switch to Twenty Twelve and deactivate all of your plugins. This is a temporary step that could help you identify where the problem is.

If you’re concerned that some setting will get lost (it shouldn’t) then make a full backup first.

Even if you don’t use the backup it’s still a good idea and can safe you grief later on. Backups are good.

    Thanks, backing up now…

I did have a ‘nonce’ issue — I’ve just disabled the contact form plug-in and cleared the cache (again) and the page seems to load now.

Just put a new post up too and that seems to work.

    Hmmmmm…

Looking back it probably began after I installed the WP Better Security and Bulletproof plug-ins…

Presumably a conflict of some sort? Or maybe the settings?
